Let's take a look
at how to use ProCPR.
Registration:
We require people to register because it allows us to keep track
of the test taking process. This way, if something goes wrong during the
test, such as computer error, or you need to leave, the site will remember
where you left off, so you don't lose your progress. Then, in two years
when you need to re-certify again, the test will become available to you
and you don't have to register again. All of your information will still
be here.
Taking
the Test: After registration, you enter the test. It's made up
of about 25 multiple choice questions.
After you make your
choice for the best answer to the situation given, you click on the corresponding letter button.
If
you get the answer wrong, the test automatically lets you know that it's
wrong and sometimes tells you why the answer isn't the best choice in
the given situation. However, if you answer correctly, it sometimes will
reinforce the answer with more information about that scenario, or just
commend you on a job well done.
Landmark
Testing: After the multiple choice portion of the test is complete,
you will be shown a picture of a human body, and a baby manikin. In each
of these parts, you are asked to point to the correct locations on the
body that best answers the question. You only have a couple of chances
with each question, so it pays to know your stuff well.

Well
done! After the landmark testing, you have completed the interactive
portion of the test. You can now sit back and relax as you go through
a slide show, where we demonstrate for you many situations where you will
be performing CPR and how to respond to the situation. This is done with
images and text. There are quite a few images, but that adds value to
the re-education you will receive at ProCPR.
Video
Demonstrations: You also have the option to watch video of CPR
in action, along with the proper use of an AED. These videos were created
specifically for this site to enhance the user's experience here. This helps
each person recertified with ProCPR to feel confident in his or her own
abilities.
Feedback:
After passing the test with at least 85% accuracy, you will be given the
opportunity to leave us feedback. We find this feedback valuable to the site
as it helps us to make improvements. Comments and suggestions have helped
ProCPR to become what it is today, and without you, we won't know what
we can improve on. However, if you don't have time for this after the
long test, move on to the next step.
Payment:
Paying for your certificate requires a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card.
You may also use your Debit card with a Visa or MasterCard logo, but it
charges it as a credit card. This site is secure and uses 128-bit SSL
encryption. You'll notice the URL at the top of the payment screen is "https" and not just "http." This is because it is
a secure part of the website. It is safe, fast, and secure, and we store
no credit card information.
Printing:
Printing your CPR certificate is next. You will have the option
of either an HTML version or a PDF version. The PDF requires Adobe Acrobat
Reader, which is a free download at adobe.com.
You can log in to your account from any computer in the world to access
your certificate. Each certificate also has a unique number to that certificate,
so that it can be verified right on ProCPR.org. You'll also be able to
use the link right on the homepage to print it.
That's It!
Thanks for reading about ProCPR. We hope that this information helps you
to make an educated decision about who to come to for Online CPR Recertification.
We've worked hard to provide you with a site that is both educational
and fun. |
