Summary of Infant Bag Valve Mask video:
When using a bag valve mask on an infant, both adult and infant sized face masks can be used. With an adult size, the mask must be flipped around so that the smaller, thinner part of the mask is on the infant's chin and the wider portion is on the forehead. Then use the C-E technique to draw the baby's face into the mask. An infant sized mask is preferable, the mask is sized to fit the correct way over the infant's mouth and nose. Use the C-E technique to draw the infant's face into the mask. Ventilate until you see the chest rise and meet a bit of resistance. Do not overinflate the baby's lungs. Provide one breath every 3 seconds.

Testimonials
“I am a nursing student (4th term of 6), currently certified until Jan 2005. However, the EVCC nursing program in Everet, WA requires recertification every year. I cannot register for classes until this is done and nobody is offering CPR over the holidays. I am so very glad this website is here to help me. Thank you very much!”
