Child CPR 2 rescuer Training Summary:

When two rescuers are present to perform child CPR, the lead position assures that that scene is safe, performs an assessment and activates EMS, if this has not already been done. If the child has no breathing and no pulse, begin CPR. The compressor is the rescuer at the child's side, and the rescue breather is the rescuer at the child's head. The rescuers should continue the cycles of 15 compressions and two breaths for 2 minutes when the compressor is encouraged to call for a switch. Then the compressor will switch places with the rescue breather. This cycle should continue until the child is revived, until an AED is available, or the next level of life support arrives.
